Join food photographer and author Emily Leary on an immersive two-day food photography course, designed to elevate your photography skills from foundational concepts to more advanced post-processing techniques.
This intensive course is designed for anyone with an interest in food photgraphy, including hobbyists, artisan bakers and other food producers wishing to improve their product photography, food bloggers looking to step up their game, or social media managers working towards more professional looking output for their food clients. No previous experience is necessary.
If you have a professional camera, bring it along. The course is also suitable for those using smart phones, as you'll be shown how to get the most out of the eqiupment you have available to you.
Day 1 will see a combination of theory and practical sessions to cover the crucial theoretical foundations of great food photography, including:

- Mobile vs DSLR
- Shooting in RAW
- Types of light
- The exposure triangle
- White balance
- Colour
- Composition
- Storytelling
Day 2 will focus on post-processing, allowing you to learn and apply key editing skills to elevate your food shots, including:
- Editing in RAW
- Exposure adjustment
- Colour correction
- Lens correction
- Sharpening
- Cropping
- Fine-tuning
- Retouching
By the end of the course, you will have a comprehensive understanding of both the shooting and editing processes, enabling you to create stunning food photographs with confidence.
