Our facilities are purpose-built, with four training rooms for artisan food production supported by comfortable and state-of-the-art academic spaces.
Training room one and bakery
A centrepiece of the School, Training Room One features marble-topped workstations, state-of-the-art commercial and domestic ovens, and lots of light and space.
Butchery training room
Butcher’s block workstations and professional equipment allow this versatile room to accommodate a variety of meat based classes and modules. This training space is complemented by two separate walk-in chillers, food preparation and cooking facilities.
Demonstration theatre
The 80-seat theatre has a kitchen especially designed for lectures and demonstrations. With a built-in convection oven and hob, a large presentation screen, which can be accessed through the program 'ClickShare'. The theatre is supported by a designated preparation kitchen.
Barbara Curtis training room
The newly converted Barbara Curtis Training room was renovated and completed in 2020. This room allows the school to extend it offering of world class professional teaching in this state of the art Artisan baking training room. The glass fronted doors open out onto our beautiful courtyard. This multi purpose space not will not only be home to many full time students, but will also host events in evenings and weekends, due to its large open plan spaces.
Common room
The Common Room provides students with comfortably furnished areas where they can continue with academic activities or simply unwind in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. This space is next to the Lecture Theatre and can be used as a breakout area for refreshments or group discussion.
Resource room
Individual workstations, multimedia material and a collection of literature and journals provide a productive environment in which to study and host meetings.
Dairy training rooms
A dedicated dairy training suite includes a fully equipped cheese and dairy room, purpose-built maturing facilities and its own adjoining, designated classroom.
